Day Trippers

We've had such a lovely time in Devon this week. Not that we don't usually you understand but we had two special trips this time.

The first on Wednesday was to Exmouth, a little seaside town. Husband said I had to take my coat off to make it look as if it was nice and warm. It wasn't.
It was a chilly breezy day but we were at the seaside so we had to paddle ...
and build a sandcastle.
Do you know how long I've waited for grandchildren to build sandcastles for?! And even though it looks as if it's Husband doing the building here, he's just deepening the moat.

And that's just a small simple castle, thrown together in a few minutes. My real expertise lies in creating sand sculptures (which may or may not bear a striking resemblance to castles). I'm including your address in my funeral instructions immediately .
(Blenheim Palace would probably impress the mourners more that a faithful likeness of me would .)
