It's a hard job but someone had to do it

There was just a bit of clotted cream left so someone had to volunteer to have a warm brownie with it ...I spotted a theme in Husband's presents to me this year. As well as a slankie (a blanket with sleeves for slouching around in) he bought me these slippers (?). The theme? Keeping me warm while turning down the heating.
When he gave me the slippers he said, 'Don't be concerned by the label ...'
I don't think I have to be: those slippers and a slankie would be enough to turn anyone off!

Lovely post, made me smile. I also love those slippers! Clotted cream with a brownie? Now that's something I would like to try. Happy New Year!

My kinda girl...you can't just throw out good food!

I like the idea of turning down the furnace and cozying up in warm slippers and a slankie! I really like those slippers - wish I had some.

I gave my mother a slankie for Christmas in 2009; she gave me one for my birthday last February. I almost live in mine. It's great!

I also love brownies and cream.

Well your utilities bills will be less but I dare say it takes two, or the whole household in slankies and bunny boots to save on utility bills.

Where is George's outfit????

I love brownies and cookies. At the Dr. office a friend said he ALMOST brought me some cookies but his wife told him I was diabetic. I told him I had a multitude of ailments that is one I thus far have avoided-not even close. Bet she wanted to eat those cookies herself.

Once again, I'm struck by how much your Husband and mine have in common:) Here the "slankies" are sold as "snugglies," but either way I don't think they're labelled as sexy nightwear:)
