Recenter? Surely you mean recentre? Or recently or more recent. Everything in me screamed at the computer, 'I can't type that!' Knowing that if I didn't, it wouldn't let me put up my link.
Even Blogger has picked it up as a non-word. Just because it's logical doesn't make it right. After all, this is the English language we're discussing.

what on earth does recenter mean? It's an ygly little word....
"Centering" is one that gets me. Even committed Radio 4 listeners get it wrong on occasion. It should, of course, be "centring"...
Or the American language.
So are the Americans now independenter than they were last year?
What is it you are exactly trying to say, or write... I am totally confused here :-)
@Gledwood, how do listeners of Radio 4 get it wrong.. I am being to wonder who has the problem us or the Americans ..
They do say that we are two people divided by a common language.
I would love that blogger's word verification were actually words--I don't even care if they are spelled American or British style.
