According to the Sunday Telegraph, 40% of the money raised by The Cherie Blair Foundation For Women (a charity set up by the woman herself) was spent on staffing and consultancy.
20% of the money went to the former CEO, Connie Jackson, who was paid £113,325 for 10 months work. She said, "I am expensive and I don't apologise for it."

And then they wonder why people are cynical about charities and are very choosy about which charities they donate to. The best ones only spend about 5% of their income on admin.
"No , I'm barefaced and as hard as nails "

Huh? What exactly does the charity DO? Is it for abused women? homeless women? children? That lady (and I use the term loosely) should be ashamed! I'm sure SHE doesn't need the money! :P
Enough said, I guess...you're right, Liz, it speaks volumes.
I used to be an idealist and always willing to give to a good cause, but now I check them out first to see where the money really goes. This woman ought to apologize!
