Wanna swap?

Fairtrade Fortnight starts on Monday and the Fairtrade Foundation is trying to get people to join in the Big Swap. They want 1,000,001 people to swap at least one item for its fairtrade equivalent.

I'm doing my bit: I swapped my usual flowers for fairtrade lilies from Kenya.

Sainsburys and the co-op are both excellent sources of fairtrade goods. I can't speak for other shops but I'm sure more and more stores are now including fairly traded items in their ranges. And they don't cost that much more.

We already do a lot of fair trade, it's the Hippy in me.
It was the co-op that started it all off.
Much love

We buy quite lot of Fairtrade products already, we always buy them in preference to the standard items unless they're absurdly expensive. Belfast was awarded fairtrade status in June 2005 and is the only city in the UK and Ireland to receive this title.

Ben & Jerry have just announced their whole range in Europe will be fairtrade by the end of 2011, Lia.

Good, jams.

And Wales was the first country to receive fairtrade status, nick!
