Granddaughter will be cheering the boys on tonight

Not with me sadly but I'll be seeing her next week when I go to Devon on Wednesday to do some baby-sitting to allow Daughter to get on with some work that's come in for her.

I could do with a Grandbaby to distract me tonight as it will be a tense game: Wales take on France who were on fire last game. And with half our team injured - or dropped for driving a golf buggy down a motorway ... - it could be a stressful hour and a half.

Honestly when English football players get arrested for motoring offences they're driving Ferraris or Lamborghinis; Welsh rugby players get caught in golf buggies.

Half-time: Wales losing 20-0. Big big sigh ...
Final score: Wales 20 - 26 France. The boys dun good. They didn't give up and fought back magnificently. France didn't really win the game as much as Wales gave it to them with two silly tries in the first half. Ah well, onward and upward.

Well, our girls' team speed skating just lost to the USA team! Boo Hoo! They are not out! But bring on the Canadian men's hockey tonight as they play Slovakia...if they win, they move on to a possible medal. All eyes will be glued to our tellies tonight!

oops, I meant they are NOW out of medal opportunity. :(

Spounds like it was a great game (even if the score wasn;t quite how one would ahve liked it!) I bet the newest fan was worth a good six points!

Oh, Liz! I can't believe how big she's getting already! But then my Dylan will be 4 March 14th and Cooper is coming on 2 in April. I am so blessed to have mine here with me thru the weekdays. I couldn't imagine being far enough away where I could only see them now and then. I don't have a clue how rugby is played...is it a sort of soccer?? But I hope your team wins regardless!

My goodness, how she has grown! I'm sure she took your mind off the final score. I can commiserate at least--my Illini basketball team played absolutely lousy yesterday and lost a game they should have won.
