I love that picture. It looks similar to the coastline that I go to which I seemingly own and is all mine for the taking as there are never people about.
As a freelance photographer I always find that Black and White photos seem to have more "ooomph" - and as James notes, "it seems more definitive"
I use B&W a lot in North Devon because its hills and coastline have a rugged beauty to them whereas South Devon is more picturesque. But that shot really is worthy of contacting postcard printers who I am sure would pay to use it.

Oh, Liz - I am choked.
What is it about monochrome? It seems more definitive. It seems to focus the attention. I'm using it more and more in pics.

Very beautiful scene. I love how the man's silhouette pops out against the brightly lit sea...

How beautiful captured!
Seems like are looking to the world's end...
This shot truly resonates with me. Reminds me of the best times I have, those I spend out with The Tonka Unit photographing the world.
That's when life is easy. Or simple at least.
A difficult photo to take, lightwise, but I think you managed it well. And then the composition and the story are nice too. :)
Nice capture!
