Red Arrows in Swansea

If you enlarge the first photo you'll see lots of alarmed seagulls. The building on the left is Swansea's newest - and not yet completed - high rise, with very expensive apartments (allegedly). I've been told it's the tallest residential building in Wales.
The little boy standing near us on the beach said this was the badge of the Red Arrows. Little boys know about these things.

And when we were waiting in between events I honed my grandma skills. Some talents you never lose.

I love watching the Red Arrows, saw them at Silverstone, they always amaze me. We have seen them sooo many times, especially as we were with the Royal Air Force and all the air shows..:-)

Oh, yes, I think you have some excellent grandma skills down pat. Love the shot with the seagulls in front of the jets; I wonder what they must be thinking. And I'm always glad to know when you have gotten out of prison safely:)

I saw the Red Arrows a long while ago, when we were staying withinlaws at Llandudno. My boys, now men in their 40's, loved the show. Down here in Southern California we have the Blue Angels. In Canada they have the Golden...something or other.

Neat. We saw the Red Arrows at Biggin Hill the other day - my son has a terrific photo of them in formation with a Virgin Atlantic 747.

High rise flats... sorry apartments. We have some being built in the old dockyard - I often wonder what Dad would make of his old machine shop now being a shopping centre and a marina opposite where he used to cut open nuclear subs. I think they are struggling to sell them though as they are forever advertising on the local commercial radio station my daughter insists we listen to in the car

Your grandma skills are looking tip-top! The red arrows look fab - I feel sorry for the seagulls though.
