Those take me back all right. In fact I can remember exactly where I first heard all the early Beatles records, they were so mind-blowing. And in those days, you expected rock bands to be done and dusted by their twenties. The idea of Paul still happily gigging in his sixties was inconceivable.
Oh, yeah, vinyl's plastic, isn't it? Amazing as I tend to think of plastic as being generally not very breakable but records can seem so easily scratchable, etc.!
The records themselves were a bit of a pain of course, what with having to wipe the dust off and the music repeating itself when the needle got stuck. Thank God for CDs.

Ah yes, that's from my vintage, too, Liz. Good old records.
Mine are all long gone now. I love CDs, so much easier and have even bought some of my old vinyl records on CD.
Good choice for the theme. Have a good weekend Liz.

Your picture brings back memories. We gave all plastic discs away when we got rid of our old disc-player.
Um, what are those? NO, just kidding! :-) Definitely my era and speed, too!
Thanks for visiting!
All ours went to assist with our move to the island. No electricity - but I did copy a great deal on to cassette. A good choice.
I once had a collection of these, but have exchanged it for CD/DVDs played on my computers. I've seen the era from 78s to 33-1/3s

I LOVE the Beatles! Did I ever tell you I saw George Harrison once?? Back in 1965 when they were here in Portland, OR.
