As it's the day of St. David, the patron saint of Wales, on Sunday, 1st March, it seems appropriate that I should be thankful for being born Welsh.
Every day when I wake up I thank the lord I'm Welsh

To be born Welsh is to be born privileged.
Not with a silver spoon in your mouth,
But music in your heart and poetry in your soul.

Isn't this a very unique take on the theme?? It's my dad's bday on March 1st, I am thankful I am wiser about that day now :)
The timing of this theme seems to be perfect...St. David's day for you, Lent for others, signs of spring...Love your take on it!
Great post and photograph for the theme. I love the quote. Nothing is better in my opinion than to be born with music in your heart and poetry in your soul! Happy weekend, Carver
Liz..... would like to brush up on Grandma skills.. I *need* some help..St Davids day -educational but fun.
Thankyou!!!
I hate being dyslexic - I've missed out the you>>
Great post Liz.,, and an exciting match going on as I type. Happy weekend. I hope Wales win!
I love that quote. I'm thankful you're Welsh too, so you can show us the beauty of your country.
Enjoy the weekend.
Great photo - love the quote!
Happy Weekend.
Lots of the colors of the Welsh flag in that picture too! :)
That's nice for you ! We have welsh friends they live near Cardiff we met them 6 years ago in Egypt !
Being married with an Italian, myself German and living in Belgium since 50 years I don't know of what I should be proud. Maybe being a European ??
Great take on the thankful theme. Very creative.
An interesting take!
The first thankfulness felt towards one's Citizenship :)
oh how I do love this. The picture is wonderful and I love the quote.
Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful day and the information with us!

Lovely photo and great idea for the theme :-)
Very patriotic. :)
I love the joyful expression on her face. And I especially like the sentiment behind your post. This is a very appropriate take on this week's PhotoHunt theme.
My post has a family focus and comes from a very joyful occasion.
OH, the lump hiraeth makes in your throat.
I love that Catatonia song, a great shame that they split up. Happy St David's Day. Wales gets so little coverage in the media you'd think it had disappeared into outer space. We only seem to hear about it when there's a personality clash in the Assembly or some English-owned homes have been burnt down. I once lived in Borth-y-Gest for three months, loved every minute of it.
this is a unique take and i like it! not many can say they're proud to be a citizen of their country. :-)
I love the quote about being born with music in your heart. My photohunt post is up.
Good idea and its illustration too.
Have a great weekend.
Great thankful post :)
