It is rather disturbing to see a fire engine parked outside the crematorium.
We were at the crem first thing this morning to say goodbye to a child we'd never met, a girl who died in her mother's womb. To have to give birth to a baby you know is dead must be one of the most destroying things.
Her parents named her Hope.

I can't imagine how they feel. Although I know people who have been through this.
Very sad.
How awful for this young couple but what a nice thing to have named her so beautifully.
We had the identical situation almost exactly two years ago. Our first granddaughter. The mother had to going through birthing her on her 21st.birthday.
It was all very harrowing.
My heart goes out to this family; I can't imagine how heartbroken they must feel. A beautiful name for her--I hope that it gives them hope as well.
Oh no. I'm so sorry to hear about their loss. It happened to my friend. A very unsympathetic consultant obstetrician told her to 'hurry up and get on with it' at one point - because the urgently-induced delivery was putting his holiday flight in jeopardy. My heart goes out to your friends.
That is so sad Liz. One of the hardest things they'll ever have to go through I'm sure.
Those poor people! As Aileni said, our first granddaughter died in her mother's womb just a month before she was due to be born. I'll never forget how her poor parents suffered.
They now have a gorgeous healthy baby girl.
