Straight from work this afternoon, I went back to Zac's to clear out the left-over bric-a-brac. I was offered the help of a young man and a van, which I gratefully accepted. His big white van was almost filled so I don't know how I thought I was going to manage with Betty Beatle ...
But I digress. When we'd finished unloading all the leftovers at various charity shops, we discovered a teddy had been left behind. 'I'll take it home for George,' I said.
Within 20 minutes this is what George had done to teddy.

Thor had a teddy in similar condition. I imagine that it had once been whole.
Thor always brought it to the door when there was thunder or strange noises or anything else to make him feel insecure.
Now Thor was a big strong Siberian Husky with one brown eye and one blue eye. The odd eyes I jsut threw in there for interest, but the big strong might be thought to make him not need to feel insecure, wouldn't you thing?
And why don't I proofread?
I JUST threw in the thing about the eyes.
and You wouldn't THINK he'd need to feel insecure--not a big strong dog named THOR!!!
POOR SAGGY TEDDY! George you are so naughty. Santa will leave you coal.
If Rescue Dog has still been alive he would have said "tsk tsk". Teddies were revered and carried carefully around our house - if we tidied them up Rescue Dog moved them back to his liking! Good old George!
Gotta love him

Ooops! Caught red-handed. Looks like a lump of coal in George's stocking this year.
He makes me laugh! And you thought he'd cuddle it??? lol

What a wise boy Rescue Dog was, Lindsay.
Daryl, hmmm.
Joy, he'll have wangled himself back into my good books by then!
I don't know why I thought that, leslie!
cherrypie, wil I ever learn?
Oh he did, sally.
Yes, MG, 'Look at me, mum!'
He certainly enjoyed the teddy, mark.
No, I think he liked it. It's his way of showing affection, puss!
I won't, aileni.
YOu need Buildabear to the rescue.
I see George is not actually improving much. He is having a very long childhood.
