I have them hanging all over the place. Have you ever tried eating one? I think they are not edible but I have tried!

Wow, that's an interesting fruit. I've heard of it, but never tried one. Hopefully you won't miss it ripening while you're gone.

the insides are absolutely delicious!! if you are having a hard time ripening them try pulling them from the vine and putting them in a basket or bowl of apples in your kitchen for a few days... (Apples give off gasses that help other fruits ripen) they'll quickly turn into a lovely ripe passion fruit.. open it up and enjoy the juicy pulpy stuff inside.. seeds and all..yum!
