ABC Wednesday - V

If grass didn't exist and man had to invent it, it would be slow-growing,
disease- and pest-resistant, and uniform.
Thank God He had already created grass in its many Varieties. To take part in ABC Wednesday, visit mrs nesbitts place.

Indeed, although I find that sentiment a little harder to subscribe to when the lawn needs cutting!

hmmm very deep but what a fantastic twist on the letter V - we all seem to pick objects that start with the letter

btw I really did manage the 'Crane' but not very elegantly!

Ever read John Christopher's 'The Death of Grass' ? A salutary lesson.
Nice choice.

We couldn't live without grass, and the very many Varieties just add to the beauty and usefulness.
I think you have a great quirky mind!

Beautiful grasses -- yes, I appreciate them too...

And all the varieties we don't want are growing in my vegetable garden! Creative choice for the letter V.

Just watched "The Great Escape, Part II." I really think George belongs in a talent contest. There aren't too many dogs who could climb, let along balance atop a fence. By the way, I have an ABC post today with one picture you or George could relate to.

Are you sure God created grass?
I thought it was a Welshman looking for something to surface rugby pitches.

Yes, Liz - it is indeed Arthur's Stone. A family regular... see here

Hi Liz I have seen you so often on my blog, that I thought I had already paid you a visit, but no! Grasses are beautiful if you use them in bouquets. Very inventive of you to find this V word! Thanks for all your visits!
