A bad start to the day

Going to the work this morning I drove down the drive, signalled left and began turning left. Then it struck me, 'Oh my gosh, I'm going the wrong way!'

Eventually getting to work I went to make myself a cup of tea and there was no milk in the fridge and the biscuit tin was missing. I was ready to go home to bed. (Fortunately I found both.)

Now, let me reassure those of you who remember that I'm on a diet that biscuits eaten in work don't count. Especially when they're stolen from the Sunday school cupboard. And they were only titchy little Nice biscuits and how many calories can there possibly be in those?

Too many! Everything does!

I don't actually like Nice biscuits much - now that's strange, something fattening that I don't much like!

Fear not Liz, you expend more calories eating a Nice biscuit than you get from it... Honest!

Stu, like Oscar, I can resist everything except temptation.

dragonstar, I do like Nice biccies but I've just had mouldy lettuce for tea. Doe sthat make up for it?

That's a good theory, Jams. I like that. I will make sure I put plenty of effort into chewing them.

and if they're broken up in little pieces, well then there aren't ANY calories there! so if they aren't broken, BREAK 'EM!!! We have Nice biscuits (cookies) here and I never buy them 'cuz they're just TOO good. lol

Well how many did you eat?

I've been retired for ten years but when I get to the T junction near us, I still have to fight the urge to turn left to go work instead of right to go everywhere else.

Right the Nice biscuits... the ones covers in sugar is that?

I don't count biscuits I eat at AA meetings - someone is working hard as the "tea boy" for the group. I should show my appreciation of his efforts by eating several chocolate hob nobs shouldn't I?

I have to remember that biscuits are cookies. You are right--no calories if taken at work when left on the copy room table with a note that a parent appreciates us.
