Husband has 24 bottles of malt whisky. I know because I just dusted them. Apart from the ones in the photo, they're all different, and even those are varied - Founder's reserve, PortWood and so on. Husband will probably argue that some of them are nearly empty ...

Eugene Kutz, frontman for Gogol Bordello, is the star of Madonna's new film, and it's their music that is the soundtrack. That makes it worth seeing despite the critics.

24 bottles? I think the not-wife would have words if I had that many. Still that's a nice selection of the water of life and no doubt about that!
I'll be right over to help dRI....
er...dUst those bottles off for you. *hee hee*
I'm on my way. Isle of Jura among those?
Hubby has good taste :-)
We should compare bottles. Curently I'm on a Laphroaig and an Auchentoschan (much milder), both 30+ years old :-)
Get him to read this blog entry of mine :-

Laphroaig and Lagavulin are mine. I was rather partial to Glenturret, I think I do have a bottle from before they were taken over ;-)
I once had single malt on my birthday over 10 yrs ago... how times have changed.
What I mean is, I didn't even REALIZE how good single malt was till RIGHT AT THE END of the night (we were in a pub with 11pm closing ~ bad old days)... when I had to drink up.
Nowadays that glass would be drained before it left my hand once! (Unless I was in really posh company haha!)
Um, we have at least that many as well. When we first started visiting Scotland together back in the 80's we really got into single-malt Scotch whisky. So we started collecting it. We have a whole bunch of them, including The Balvenie (not as many types as you have there!), as well as a bunch of other varieties. Sadly, I quit drinking 3 years ago so can no longer enjoy them! And husband doesn't drink them much these days either...he sticks mostly to wine.
Lucky chap. The Tuscan sideboard is sporting a 15 yr old single barrel Balvenie, weighing in at 47.8%. Looking forward to a waring snifter this weekend - cold here today!
