Boys will be boys

It's the same thing this time every year, the only difference this year being that we have a pond so we don't just have to look for it but we can take frog spawn home with us.
Goody.

Hmmmm....I think if the frogs hatch out they will all flee back to wherever you found the spawn...

I don't think so. Or if they do, they'll come back to my pond to lay eggs again.

I could see that was something "aquatic" but couldn't recognize precisely what... so THAT is the result of frog-sex... ukk!

Tell you what though I used to have a pet African Dwarf Frog... who lives in tropical fishtank waters of about 25C (well, same temps as tropical fish: 22-30C)... and he was totally aquatic: ie required no special rocks or stones poking out of the water... nor even lilly pads (in fact lilly pads could have formed a potential launchpad for escape!)... he was lovely... spent all day hiding at the bottom of the tank then he would spring into life and shoot quickly to the top, gulp up air and vanish to the bottom for another half an hour... (holding your breath for half an hour at a stretch: how inconvenient!)... o! & how he loved his bloodworms and tubifex!

He only cost me £2 and apart from my £23 for 3 robos was my most value for entertainment pet ever!

Hope all is OK with you Liz: I used to have real problems bringing up your page which is why I never commented anything like as frequently as I'd have liked... take care!
