I have seen some Bluejays and some Robins this year. It is warm in the high 60's--70's.I love when the Hummingbirds come and drink from our holders. Have a good day. Baba
What a cute little guy. I've been hearing some birds outside my bedroom window the last couple of days. I guess they figure spring is nearby...hope they're right. Had a nice sunny day today.
That is a pretty woodpecker. We have several come to our suet feeder right now but they are all black and white and the males have a red flash on the head.
Ooooooh, what a lovely bird! We have woodpeckers here in Portland but they're big black ones. Silly things put up a big squawk, too! And I hear them pecking at trees and utility poles, but the ones here in Portland are misguided or confused because, more often than not, they can be spotted on top of chimneys all over the place pecking at the sheet metal chimney covers! Talk about a RACKET!!!

Oh wow!
You know I saw my FIRST robin last year and I'd dearly love to see a woodpecker!

I've seen the first Pizza Box of spring in our front garden.

Did you know that woodpeckers have their own aspirin built into their system so that they don't get headaches whilst hammering?
Might be a good idea for bloggers too ;-)
What fascinating birds they are.
How beautiful!
