... do pragmatists wish they were more imaginative? Or does being pragmatic mean that such a thought would never enter their heads?

I was planning on painting our bedroom.
Husband said, 'No, we need to paper to cover the imperfections.' (I wonder if papering me would have a similar result?)

I was going to do the ironing.
Husband said, 'No, go and look for wallpaper.'

I brought home some samples.
Husband said, 'No, they're too bland.'

I said, '_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ ' (Fill in appropriate comment.)

We're going together to look at wallpaper this afternoon.
