Cakes for my sweet (boy)

Here for those who asked for cake are some date flapjacks. They are possibly the yummiest thing in the world.

My good intentions to have them ready for Younger Son when he got home from work went slightly awry when I realised I didn't have all the ingredients (but I only realised this half-way through making them).

I had to pop into the shop after circuits - all red and sweaty and in my Eric Morecambe shorts - to get coconut and oats. But they are so worth it.
