Speaking out loud

First thing this morning - okay, about 10 o'clock - the phone rang. Quick glance at the number told me it wasn't my children so I knew who it would be.

'Just checking you're still okay to speak to us on Friday.'
'Yes, fine, see you there.'

The date has been in my diary for months and I knew it was approaching. I was just doing my head in the sand if I don't think about it it won't happen routine.

If you've read this blog for any time you'll be aware that I get into a state each time I have to speak to a group of people, and also that I always come back afterwards saying, 'That was fine.' And 'I've arranged to go and speak to them again.'

So ignore any panicking this week: it will be fine. I am speaking about Zac's so have my talk ready. I just need to walk George and practise it.

In other matters, I have spent two hours trying to link my twitter and facebook accounts. After trying for some time I came across a notice (dated August last year) that said, 'It is no longer possible to link accounts,' followed by an article giving instructions on how to do it. Leaving me asking, was the article written before the notice or after?

And when a How To page says do this and then do that, why does what comes up on my screen look nothing like they say it will look, meaning I can't do that?

Can you hear my teeth being ground away to nothing?

One of the annoying things about the internet is that old articles and products are not removed. The reason your screen looks different to those shown in an how to is probably down to updates - they are continuous and whether you want or need them or not! Hope the talk goes well.

Thank you! Yes, and it's always difficult to find dates on articles. At least I find it hard ...
