I was having withdrawal symptoms

So we took a day trip to Devon. We hadn't seen Grand-Daughter since two days before Christmas and so we battled through the snow to get there.

Oh, she is so perfect! So adorable, so gorgeous, so absolutely wonderful. Not that I'm at all biased you understand.

And she's started to give proper smiles. So we spent most of the time making funny faces trying to get her to smile. Then when she did I was so excited the camera wobbled.

And every time she smiles you melt inside! Grandchildren are wonderful.

Oh, I'm just melting with envy right now that you have a new one in your life. I'm afraid my days of newborns are now over, but I will live vicariously through you. She is so adorable - AND you made her smile!

That cute little darling is the reason you swapped places with your Aunt. How else she she meant to learn how to smile if your not about to gurn at her. Bless.
Much love

What a cutie! Dragonstar is right--there's nothing that can melt your heart faster than the smile of a grandchild.

THanks, mutley.

They are indeed, dragonstar.

Leslie, she was probably thinking, 'If I smile perhaps they'll stop!'

THanks, lia and cherrypie.

Not long now, mary!

THank you, rose.

I definitely recognize new grandparents.

Though they look a lot like old grandparents.

It never gets old.
