Saturday Photohunt - Orange

From the first set of ten paperbacks, which included A Farewell to Arms by Ernest Hemingway, published by Penguin in 1935, its fiction could be easily identified by its orange spine and bird logo. These days just the penguin remains.

I'm glad to say that our bookshelves still have a lot of orange on them! Great take on the theme Liz

I had a lot of orange spines like that. All lost now in my world travels. Clever and orangeinal take on the theme.

I like the way you used orange fonts as well as the photo with the stack of orange spine books. Great idea for the theme.

Wow, you've got original editions from Penguin Books! Take care of those, they could be worth something :)

Those orange Penguins were very distinctive. So were the green Virago titles with the apple logo. I also liked the old Women's Press titles with the iron and the slogan "Steaming ahead".

I love the unique subject you choose for this week's theme. I remember some of the Penguins from the '70s but never bought too many.

Yes, you're right...my Penguins are cream spined. I remember the orange ones...sigh...nostalgia is rife nowadays.
