WWJD?

An envelope arrived in work today addressed to 'the Congregation'. Inside were some brightly coloured flyers and an A3 poster complete with Gordo's smiling face.

As well as pointing out the 'Christian' things his government had done he wanted to say thank you 'for the help you give the poor, sick, homeless, needy etc etc' and promised that the government will not 'pass by on the other side.'

It was quite stomach-churning.

The day a political party acts as Jesus would is the day they can use my faith as a campaign aid. Until then throw them out of the temple!

P.S. Can you imagine what Christ would have done with MPs claiming for duck islands?

I used to like the High Leg ones that M&S did, they were the most comfortable ever. Now they have changed the cut they are no where near so comfortable.

Duck island indeed! Viggers was elected in 1974 and I remember it well as I was living in Gosport at that time. It was a well known subject with Gosport residents that he dripped/oozed wealth and we never knew quite how he was so well off on a lowly MP's salary. Of course recently expenses have been published and are available to the public which answers a lot of questions.

He was always very evident as to being quoted in the news and on the TV when it came to publicising himself/wanting the public to vote for him; but when it came to contacting him he never bothered to acknowledge or reply unless he knew that he would achieve free advertising out of it.
