Apologies

To all my blogging friends. I've not been visiting for ages. No excuses, just life.

I still love you all, dahlings!

A lady, a little older than I, said to me earlier this week, 'I used to be very houseproud but now I only clean the house once a week.'

Once a week? The whole house? I consider it a job well done if I manage one room a week.

I consider it a job well done if I manage to do it before we have visitors round (and that's not very often!)

I don't understand people who clean their house every day. Have they not got a life? Are we really on this earth to shift dust?

I'm with Nick on this, though I have to be more careful now we've a crawling granddaughter. I keep the dishes and cutlery clean, and the surfaces in the kitchen. Toilets, too. But windows? Next week perhaps...

I think I am with you on the house cleaning especially when I am not the one who messes it up ;-)

Yes essentials as Dragonstar mentions are clean but dust, if you don't have that it means you have a boring life ;-)

She cleans the house once a week? Aaaaaaaaah ... I'm clearly a complete sloven!

Who knew? LOL!

I so agree with everyone on this. I find having a large house really good but the housework is such a burden when there is so much else to do. Sometimes, like with Nick, it only gets done thoroughly when visitors are coming.
