And the yellow flower is ...


In the woods, today, wood anemone, violets and ... yellow flower. It could be a buttercup; I don't think it's a cowslip. That is the sum total of my knowledge of yellow flowers.

Not a buttercup--at least not like ourse. They have five rounded petals. We have one called Arrowleaf Arnica which looks similar. And woods would be the right environment.
