ABC Wednesday - D

To explain a little: after seeing Mamma Mia, I resolved to live my live as a musical. Reading that, Mrs Nesbitt challenged me to do ABC as a musical too. So, for the soundtrack to my life - and to ABC Wednesday, I'm choosing songs by the Beatles.

This week, for the letter D, with my home of Mumbles being a seaside village, I could have opted for Day Tripper. On the other hand, being a wannabe author, I could have written a letter to Dear Prudence. But then the ideal solution offered itself.

A young couple were married in church on Monday. They borrowed Brian Beetle for their wedding car. Tim, one of the church leaders and a highly respected consultant surgeon in his other life, played the role of chauffeur. So I said to Tim, 'Baby, you can Drive My Car.' Nice car, shame about the hat.
C'mon, Brian, please start!

They're away!

How sweet! Brian Beetle is just right for the occasion. And shame on you for "dissing" his hat. It is perfect, too.

Oh my gosh, you've got me singing that song in my head! Is that car a left-hand drive??? or is it an optical illusion???

You are on a winner with this one.

Thanks for the warning -I was afraid of spelling something wrong because that is what I do - why do you think I have all the dictionaries :)
Actually with the macular problem, this happens all too often.

Love it! I was guessing on my way over here which song it would be this week...I thought for sure it would be "Day Tripper," but I love this one, too.
I didn't do an ABC post this week--I thought about "dead Dahlia," but thought other gardeners might boot me out of gardening blogland for it:)
