Sometimes I think

Went back out and mowed the back lawn. It was long so satisfying to cut as I could see the difference it made. After my fight with the strimmer last time I decided it would be less stressful if I cut the edges on my hands and knees with the shears.

Husband came out when I was doing that. "Why aren't you using the strimmer?"
"Because it hates me and won't work."

Of course it worked for Husband. (Note to self: for future reference, Husband can now manage the strimmer in short bursts.)

There is so much to do in the garden. I never appreciated how hard Husband worked out there before.

Son-in-law was just going back to the car when he called, "Have you got an onion?"
I am regularly mocked for my hearing so I checked with Husband. "Did he ask if I had an onion?"
"I think so."

I gave him two.

  2. I guess someone knows their onions. Definitely hold husband to a bit of strimmering as tolerated. He needs to build his strength by doing it. My rx.

  3. Strimming is gentle exercise for a few minutes at a time.

  5. I really like the word, strimmer. We don’t use it here. Brits have great words.
