We have no idea, do we?

Yes, i understand that katney, but Jesus specifically says, ... whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.' Which seems so categorical.

I don't know about inspiring, nitwit, but thank you!Liz Hindshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04646532093872561703noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17218624.post-68356014497949822312012-05-11T15:24:22.491+01:002012-05-11T15:24:22.491+01:00Just wandered over to Amazon in USA and bought you...Just wandered over to Amazon in USA and bought your book. I'm sure it will be inspiring.

I had just bought a preacher'wife book called Two Scoops of Ice Cream with a Chuckle on Top--think I got that right. It was reviewed on another blog I read, Cow Patty Surprise, http://cowpattysurprise.blogspot.com/. Actually I wish I could write like Nezzy, the author of the blog who is lives on a farm or ranch, and apparently has done so many years.NitWit1https://www.blogger.com/profile/07035004840443397537noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17218624.post-13315854545692279012012-05-11T14:35:06.638+01:002012-05-11T14:35:06.638+01:00"pray with enough faith to get what we want&q..."pray with enough faith to get what we want"

What WE want? Is that it? Don't we pray "THY will be done"?

I think maybe the key is that we should praying that God's will be done and that we have the strength to accept it when it isn't going our way. We may thing we know what it should be, but we don't.

And I don't mean the God's will is that we suffer. We (not personally, but as humankind) have brought most of that on ourselves in one way or another. (1) I will then know the answers, and (2) I will be too busy worshipping or whatever heaven will be like.NitWit1https://www.blogger.com/profile/07035004840443397537noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17218624.post-79829569827281506522012-05-10T21:00:15.288+01:002012-05-10T21:00:15.288+01:00Oh my, I know what you mean. I've been through...Oh my, I know what you mean. I've been through so much in my life that I have had to deal with this very thing. The "Why me, God?" "Why my family, God?" And I still have faith that God knows best and that he has given me strength to deal with whatever happens. And I've come to understand that sometimes God says, "No," or "Not yet." I think prayer is good in that it makes us feel better and closer to God but we always have to leave it in His hands. Even then, though, as you say "shit" happens.Leslie:https://www.blogger.com/profile/11964698251137788839noreply@blogger.com
