I find it hurts my neck to bend over the sewing machine and if I need alterations, I take whatever to the tailor.Leslie:https://www.blogger.com/profile/11964698251137788839noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17218624.post-28478958986275956482008-10-25T10:51:00.000+01:002008-10-25T10:51:00.000+01:00In Awe of such handywork and talent! In Awe of such handywork and talent!mrsnesbitthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16882736507772457598noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17218624.post-1179069675040340292008-10-25T04:19:00.000+01:002008-10-25T04:19:00.000+01:00Oh, those are lovely Liz! I really like it. Interesting, too, that some quilters will always use very similar colors. Or maybe she had others in different sorts of colors and these were the ones that appealed to you!Katneyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13702911535481192870noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17218624.post-1613814355922473532008-10-24T22:59:00.000+01:002008-10-24T22:59:00.000+01:00Those are gorgeous (sp). They remind me of historic quilts that I have seen that were made in the eastern Kentucky mountains.

BTW, history says that the earliest settlers in that part of the U.S. were indentured servants from the British Isles who got tired of their indentured status and “escaped” west over the mountains from the state of Virginia to what became the Commonwealth of Kentucky, the 14th U.S. state.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16939152657551690867noreply@blogger.com
