Do Not Disturb

My phone wasn't working properly. I wasn't getting phone calls - or rather it was telling me afterwards that I'd missed one.

I checked the settings and everything seemed to be okay so I was bemused. I decided to try Vodaphone Help.

'Have you checked the Do Not Disturb setting?'

'No, of course not. I wouldn't have it set on Do Not ... oh, well, that would explain it then.'

I didn't even know there was a Do Not Disturb setting so how it got set is a mystery.

ha, ha, I love technology but sometimes I'm baffled by what happens on my phone! mostly due to user error!

I firmly believe that my phone changes its settings while I'm sleeping

My phone's "Do not disturb" switch is labelled OFF.

I see I am talking to like-minded people!

Now, Stu, if mine were I would understand that.

Normally, I turn my phone "ON" at about 10am each day and "OFF" anytime after 5pm. (Some days, I don't even think of my phone.) In addition, I've set the ring-tone to only sound if a caller's phone number is included in my contacts listing. Other calls are immediately transferred to "Voice Mail", with few unwanted callers leaving a message - and the messages are recognizable enough to be deleted after the first word, usually.
