Here we go again

From 6.00 pm on Sunday Swansea goes back into lockdown. It joins a number of areas in Wales where the R-number is increasing.

It's not as dramatic as previously as shops, pubs and schools are still open, but it's as bad in the things that matter to us i.e. family.

Younger Son and family live outside the county border so we're not allowed to see them. (Not to mention that we haven't seen Elder Son and family since Christmas.) We can see Daughter and family outdoors but we're not allowed physical contact i.e. no hugs!

I am sighing a lot again.

Before we heard about this lockdown, back when I was happy, we took George to Clyne Gardens.

Meanwhile I am going to stock up on hugs before Sunday evening.

Parts of Canada are seeing some restrictions again too. Here in eastern Canada, we are luckier. Take care.

We are getting more cases, too, but outside of the Maritimes, BC is fairly safe. I really miss having a trip this year, though.

I don't envy the coming isolation for you and family. Makes a lot of things harder. However, there are worse things - ie: COVID. Cases here continue to increase and as far as I know, there are no plans to do anything other than continue to open up more and more.

Yeah things don't look that good in the South East either. We were due to go to a wedding in 3 weeks and now the number has dropped to 15 so I doubt we will now. It's not the end of the world but when there's very little on the horizon to look forward too, it's another disappointment.

That's a bummer, being pushed into lockdown for a second time. The British government just doesn't have a grip on the virus. Virus cases are escalating in NI as well but very few extra restrictions apart from Belfast residents not being allowed to travel outside Belfast.

Oh, I should have added that the Welsh government isn't handling the virus very well either.
