Head de-clutter

I can't remember being this brown since ... well, I can't remember. Lockdown weather has been really remarkable.

The bowl of left-over carrots in the fridge reminded me of a field trip to Mombasa I took part in when I was studying oceanography in university. We stayed in the dormitories of the local college and most days they would provide us with carrot sandwiches for our packed lunches. As well as anything else that was leftover from the night before.

Fortunately by early afternoon we usually found ourselves near a luxury hotel where we could pop in and have a snack. Good times. Sadly I remember nothing at all of what we learned.

Joe, on his blog, has done the Ten Records That Influenced You thing that's been going around Facebook. I did it plus the Ten Books one too. Then I saw what others had included: the books they listed were so worthy!

I feel I should have another go, except I don't think I've read ten Christian/worthy books in my life. Oh wait, I could include books of the bible: Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts etc. Now that would have been impressive.

I'm sure there was something else littering my brain ...

Never would I have thought to include carrots in a sandwich, let alone to make a carrot sandwich. Cooked or raw?

A carrot sandwich sounds entertaining. Never thought if it as the main component. Like Cop asked.... cooked or raw?

Why do the influential books have to be Christian worthy? Throw in a porn novel or two. Mix it up!

And I'm pleased to say I've never had a carrot sandwich in my entire life and hope to continue in that vein.

Is it a coincidence that the Welsh for Carrot is Moron?
Maybe they were teasing you???

I love carrots but sandwiches...

Why stick at carrot sandwiches? why not try some with mashed turnip or boiled Brussel sprouts? In a white sliced loaf…

Raw carrots, CopCar, PipeTobacco.

My comment about the influential book was really aimed at the Christians I know on FaceBook - and I know they don't read my blog! I'm a coward.

It was a good joke, stu.

Indeed, Marie. i guess they thought it was what British people would like.

My daughter does enjoy mashed potato sandwiches, Sonata ...

So did the sandwich have mustard or mayo? That would have been really odd. But, just carrots and bread - fine eaten separately doesn't sound too bad.
