I told you I was ill

My latest article for The Bay magazine is out now and available here. In it I talk about Husband's heart attack. The illustrator for the magazine is very good and he came up with this.
The editor sent it to me prior to using it to make sure Husband wouldn't mind. He's married to me; he puts up with a lot.

I'm sure you weren't quite so cavalier!

Well-written article, Liz. Isn't it amazing how many people have "silent" heart attacks? Well...women's heart attacks seem to be more subtle than those in the men - at least in my own family.

Isn't it amazing that our husbands put up with us? HH will be 83 on Friday. I bought him a card that shows Superman flying along with a woman sitting in the middle of his back, several shopping bags clutched in her hands. Under the image it says, "Happy Birthday to my husband, my hero." On the inside it shows Superman on a pedestal, flexing his biceps. It says, "If you can put up with me year after year, you must have some super powers."

That article and the illustration done for it are both brilliant! I enjoyed both very much. And you tackle the toughest question of all -- why do bad things happen to good people? Hey, isn't there a book on that subject by Harold Kushner? I don't know if he has the answer either.
