Husband, the horse whisperer

And I never knew.

Near Whiteford Point today we encountered some Welsh mountain ponies.

Rather handsome chap

Pay careful attention to these two!
The last two decided to follow us. I'm not scared of horses per se, but when there are foals around mothers can be a bit edgy sometimes so I increased my speed and made sure I was within easy diving reach of some bushes or tree trunks.

They kept on following us until I understood how Butch Cassidy felt about the man in the white hat. But it was okay while they kept a steady gap between us and them but when they started cantering/trotting/going a bit faster I squeaked a little.

Then Husband stopped, turned to face them, held up his hand and said, 'Woah! Woah.'

And they stopped. And they didn't follow us any more.

I was seriously impressed. I never knew he had such power over horses.

Are they running free, if so Mike was brave to stop them,
