Why it's cool to be 60

Cheap cinema tickets, which are even cheaper in the afternoon - £5.10 instead of £6.75.

Free bus pass.

Winter fuel allowance.

60 is the new 40!! Yay!!!!!

Strange that you can get winter heating allowance .. and lucky that you still get your bus ticket, ... in England we know longer get it at 60.. (well I don't think we do) .. you might see me head a protest at Downing street , ..

No we in England have to wait until we are 65 now .. but if you live in N. Ireland , Wales Scotland it is 60...

So what film did you see? And how was it?

A free bus pass , fuel allowance and cheaper cinema tickets are all very well ... but what about the other treats ?
Aren't you entitled to a pensioner's cheap perm yet ?

I'm one day in now, Don QuiScottie, and it's going well!

Apparently I don't get it until next year as you have to be 60 by September of the year, leslie.

Just show off, Jams!

And we get free prescriptions, anne!

Hoo, gledwood!

Skyfall. Excellent.

I had a 20% birthday voucher from the hairdresser too, sonata!

One day in? Well done! keep up the reports on progress so I will get some tips for when I arrive. I have 2 years and 7 months to prepare (if I make it that far). Free bus pass may be useful but hairdresser vouchers pointless as I have almost no hair. If I get a voucher I'll pass it on to you (but that is unlikely as I have no hairdresser either)

A few years to go yet, but all I would like is my free bus pass .... not worried about the cinema ..at all .. ok free prescriptions would of come in handy .. and I suppose heating allowance .. but the bus pass would of been brilliant me .. a non driver ..
