Things not to do when ...

you can't sleep and you feel nauseous.

1) Reminisce about when you fell asleep at the drop of an eyelid and worry if you'll ever sleep again.
2) Think about food.
3) Think about all the things you haven't been able to do this week ... and fret about how you're going to fit them in to your already full next week.
4) Wonder how Facebook can be worth £100 billion dollars and why anyone would Like a company page.
5) Consider the implication of being 'in the world but not of it' and whether you are one more than the other.
6) Compose a blog post in your head.
7) Realise that there are not many middle-aged women who feel the uncontrollable urge to skip while walking around town and wonder - for the first time - if you really are a bit odd.
8) Diagnose yourself using knowledge gleaned from Grey's Anatomy and House.

$100 million - unbelievable! I know I use cos others do but frankly it is rubbish...

I often ponder that I'm in the world but not part of it but then I often see/hear things in the world and am glad of that position

I often feel the urge to skip about the town.

If I could still translate that urge to the muscles and bones and nerves needed to accomplish that action without breaking anything, I would.

Facebook has its uses, furtheron: you get to find out very quickly when someone has a baby for instance!! But some people just talk about guitars and stuff ...! (Had a brill meeting today with a prisoner. can't write too much but stunning story of change.)

I'm glad, katney. I wonder if more people feel like us.

I applaud the uncontrollable urge to skip. Why walk sedately when you could skip or even do somersaults? I don't think I could manage the latter though without knocking down several middle-aged ladies.

I don't think I could manage the latter at all.

I've often diagnosed myself after watching House or a similar show, too--I think I've had a couple brain tumors and rare diseases in the past that miraculously cured themselves:)

Catching up on all your posts today after spending more time on Christmas prep than blogging lately. A day on the couch doing nothing but watching TV sounds like a wonderfully lazy day...until you're sick and that's all you can do. Glad you're on the mend!
