Somebody up there likes us!

The sun shone!
And then the thunder came! But not until much later.

We managed to get away with one minor shower at Brands Hatch yesterday, between races which was a result... the rain did wake me up in the middle of the night however...

Yes, when the weatherman is wrong, sometimes it is a blessing.

Right now in our area unfortunately we are HOT! in every possible definition of the word when he predicts 100 degs. We have had one reprieve in a month because we caught some cloud cover and a slight shower which was blessed for the 3 minutes it lasted.

I'm glad your BBQ went well and it didn't hail! Your worries reminded me of Daughter's wedding reception. The forecast was for strong storms later in the evening, and while it did eventually rain, it wasn't stormy. I was worried I was going to have to fit 150 people in my basement to avoid a tornado:)

I was dead to the world in the night, furtheron. It takes a lot to wake me up.

That sounds unbearable, nitwit.

Forecasts are rarely totally accurate, are they, rose? I prefer to look out of the window! And I don't think the weathermen do that sometimes.

I remember you getting that pool installed; did it cost a lot? I would LOVE to have a swimming pool and it's nothing at all to do with the supposed status-symbol aspect and everything to do with a love of swimming!

PS was it you who was into yogurt making? I found a link here

that tells you a lot. The author says ladies should daub it up their do-dahs to prevent yeast overgrowth... but wouldn't the fruits of the forest, raspberries or whatever else is in it come trickling down the inner thighs in the Wine isle at Marks and Spencers? If I were of the fairer sex I'd be too paranoid of smelling of Muller Fruit Corner to do that!
