Every time the phone rings ...

I leap out of my seat. I run and grab the phone only to find it's Daughter, 'Has it started yet?'
'I told you I'd let you know when it did.'
'Yes, but you might have rushed off and forgotten.'
'I'm hardly likely to forget when you're phoning me every ten minutes.'

I don't know who is most excited about Daughter-in-law's imminent confinement. Due date was last Wednesday so we're all on tenterhooks, waiting for the phone call from Elder Son to say she's gone into labour.

They're up in Egham, near Windsor, so we're definitely going to have to sell the house and move into a camper van. Goodness knows where Younger Son will end up but we're likely to be spending a lot of time on the road.

Just be glad that your country is small. The distance between us and half of our grandchildren is almost twice the distance from Land's End to John o Groats.
