Husband is such a romantic

'I've got something for you' he said, rummaging in his jumper pocket.
'If you leave it in a drawer it will go red,' he said.

A mish mash of a post this because I haven't written on here for a couple of days but really I don't have anything to say. I've come home from work feeling very dopey - even more so than usual.

So this is a Persian Ironwood tree so named because its timber is allegedly as hard as iron. Growing in Clyne Gardens.
And this is an unusual photo of George, sleeping on rather than humping his pillow.
I did warn you this wouldn't be the most gripping of posts.

Let me know about the pepper. Did he mention it might also pack some heat?

My husband who likes only standard tomatoes, causually informed me he planted some cherry tomatoes for ME, and they were "HOT." SInce I never had "hot" tomatoes, this should be an interesting growing season.

Welcome, helena.

He did say it might be hot, nitwit. He suggested putting it in with my roast Mediterranean vegetables tonight but I declined!

It's usually courgettes he offers me, jams!

Your lethargy seems to have rubbed of on George Liz, mind you you've had an awful lot to cope with of late so you're bound to feel a b it low, nevermind, we may have some sunshine around the corner soon!
Has your husband got a chilli plant then an is he growing it in a pot. I'd like to grow chillies, but not quite sure how to go about it,
Take care,

Indeed, leslie!

I have a freezer full of home-grown chillis, trubes. They're very easy to grow in the greenhouse.

I read this yesterday but didn't leave a comment because I couldn't think of anything clever to say. Still can't...but I do think again that your husband and mine must think alike--this is the kind of romantic "gift" mine gives me, too:)
