A tip to make your life easier

The good thing about going to the doctor's - and especially being kept waiting - is that you get to catch up on magazine reading. Albeit five-year-old magazines but at least they're better than the golfing mags the dentist used to specialise in.

One had a feature where lots of celebrities and women who should know offered one simple tip that makes their life easier. My favourite was this: always insist on silk pillowcases then your hair will be as sleek in the morning when you wake as it was when you went to sleep.

Hmm. So many things I could say.

I used to enjoy reading all the mags, too, but now the doctors don't keep them in order to cut down on the spread of germs. However, my hairdresser has all sorts of great gossipy mags! I always bring a book to the doctor and to the hairdresser but usually end up looking at the mags at the hairdresser's.

I think Sally in norfolk has some silk pillowcases .. maybe silk coverfor duvet ..! I love reading the gossipy mags in the hairdressers .. don't like reading my books as people talk to me then I get distracted and lose my place.. I then can read my book at home.

I must live in a different world than these people:)

Hope you are enjoying your holiday, Liz, but I'm sure you are with Granddaughter there!

Yes , I find if I just concentrate on important things like my public image , everyone else takes care of the little things .

Liz, I am a terribly disorganized person when not traveling. I have your snail mail address buried somewhere and I have something that I can't send through the ether. You have my e-mail. Please send me your snail mail address again. (before June)

yep I have silk pillow cases .. and its true what they say, although i would not say hair stays sleek just not as messed up as with normal pillow cases :-)
