Christmas has been delayed

So the best laid plans ...

Although these plans weren't really best laid. More on and off and on again. The idea was for the children to come home this weekend so we could have Christmas together. And then it snowed.

Daughter has lots of snow in Devon plus GrandDaughter is proper poorly with a cold so they can't come. Elder Son and Daughter-in-law were planning on travelling down today but much snow is forecast for the M4 between Surrey and Swansea so looks like they won't make it either.

Hey ho.

And it's Elder Son's birthday today! Happy birthday, lovely boy!
This photo was taken in the studio a few weeks ago. I haven't got round to ordering prints yet but plan to cover my walls with the wonderful photos Pete took. (Check out the Essence Photography website.)

Thought about you when I heard the snow had hit Wales - we have escaped this second coming (lol) but we are not relaxing yet - you never know.

Oh I am so sorry , you were really looking forward to having them with you. It is best not to travel though isn't.

I hope that little grandaughter gets better soon.

Christmas event may still happen. I've done Christmas on New Years eve or day, depending on committments I already had.

But then Christmas Spirit can be all year, and should be.

Merry Christmas, each and every day from our household to yours.

We are experiencing a good dose of the white stuff today as well. We had it last week Saturday and it melted. No book club Christmas gathering for me today--not adventurous enough for 40 miles each way in this.

I am sorry they weren't able to visit. Maybe there will be another chance in the next few days.

That's a lovely photo. Hope they make it there within the next few days. Love from Sicily. x
