George thought all his birthdays and Christmases had come at once

We had a barbecue yesterday for friends from Zac's. It was gloriously sunny and everything went off well.A couple of the children must have been in the pool for 4 hours virtually non-stop. One of Blossum's daughters came out to get food but got back in and stood by the side eating it. Meanwhile Blossum himself was worried about having a sunburned head. (I was disappointed he didn't wear the Speedos he'd promised though ...)
And George followed after anyone who would feed him crisps, peanuts, onion rings, cheesy puffs, sausage, ice cream or marshmallows. and with lots of children there - not to mention those adults unable to resist his big dark eyes - he made a killing.

We fully expected him to be sick in the night but he's tougher than that.

Maybe he is wearing the speedos on his head?

I bet George ate his body weight in snacks!

I hadn't thought of that, cherrypie!

Easily, jams. I don't know how many marshmallows he ate before I screamed, 'No, don't give him those.'

That's a beautiful pool, Liz.

Doesn't George go for a splosh? I thought retrievers were water-dogs..? Or at lest one of those breeds who seems apt to jump in a gooey lake in mid-February, laughing as only dogs can and then decide to stand right by you as she shakes his coat off...?

Is he still having an affair with that exotic Thai pole dancer dog..?

George loves the water, gledwood, but he fell in once and Husband left him in for a while until he panicked because he couldn't get out. Now he's careful. Harvey fell in lots of times and because the water's too deep someone had to go in and lift him out.

Sorry, raki, all in george's tummy! But come and visit and we'll come some specially for you!

Harvey fell into a different pool, right? The pool you've got is new, isn't it? If it isn't then my brain is confused...

I've never heard of dogs being frightened of water; that's new to me... also I can't imagine George panicking, he seems so laid back

I still laugh every time I think of that swing vid. He seems to excited that ~ wow! ~ it keeps coming back!!
