Could it have been the tea?

Or possibly it was the mug of tea I drank just before going to be weighed.

How much does a mug's worth of tea weigh? Two pounds maybe?

And I was wearing different shorts with an extra button.

No, Liz, it wasn't the tea,it was the extra button...

Nothing to do with the tea at all, it was the weight of the zip plus that extra button.

Liz, "A pint of pure water weighs a pound and a quarter" - so as tea is hardly pure water I think you're right to blame that. The extra button just added to the damage!

So far three of us bloggers all are blaming your excess weight on your extra button! You really should remove that second button. We can’t all be wrong, can we?

Besides, you would feel pounds lighter if you only removed that bloody second button… It’s the psychological factor, you know?

THank you all for your support - and good advice. I'll go back to wearing the other shorts - and possibly cut out the pockets. And remove the turn-ups.

For Heaven's sake just get rid of the shorts altogether.

anorexics trick... drink loads of water on the day of the weigh in... it'll "flush" you. A good pee can lose you anything up to 3 lbs... I shouldn't really know this should I but it was all part of my education in rehab :-)
