Simply having a wonderful Christmastime

We had a wonderful Christmas. I hope you did too.

Uncle joined Younger Son, Husband and me for dinner, which in spite of the new oven and mistiming everything, tasted better than it looked.

Then last night Elder Son and Daughter-in-law arrived for a couple of days. And I had a webcam for Christmas so we even got to see Grand-Daughter on the big day and that was lovely even though she was asleep.

Our Christmas television watching consisted of:
1) Christmas Eve - Victoria Wood - okayish;
2) Christmas Day - Doctor Who - disappointing;
3) Christmas Day - Dad's Army - reliable;
4) Christmas Day - Blackadder - fell asleep;
5) Christmas Day - Royle Family - fell asleep;
6) Christmas day - Gavin and Stacey - good;
7) Boxing Day - Scarlets versus Ospreys - good (Ospreys won, yay!)

And that was the sum total of our telly-viewing. All BBC, of course: is there another channel?

Good collection of pressies, loads of food, plenty of choccies. Mmmm, yes, a good Christmas.

Have I mentioned how happy I am? And how incredibly blessed?

P.S. Anyone else got a webcam and want to chat?!!

I have a webcam built in my latop that stares at me every mornig. I keep it turned off as my appearance is pretty scarry in the morning, or should I say, all day long.

Inadvertedly, I turned it on when I first bought the laptop. It was pretty scary to suddenly see yourself in an unkept condition; Inearly dropped the laptop. I could not find the off icon fast enough.

I wish I had a webcam. Boxing Day for us was loafing around the house watching the telly and me reading Hello Canada magazine. Oh yes, 2 more episodes of "Band of Brothers." (excellent)

Mmm! I missed everything on the telly!

I do have a webcam on my laptop. I have never used it!

I have a webcam on the xp and another on the netbook but I've used neither for ages now as I give my friends nightmares apparently.

Glad you had such a wonderful Christmas, Liz. We didn't have time to watch tv at all.

One of these days I will get a webcam...my brother's at me to get one...one day, I will.

Glad you had a wonderful Christmas, Liz--your new Mini looks like so much fun! I don't have a webcam but have been thinking about getting one so Sophie could "chat" with Coconut (YD's dog in Oregon now). I'm surprised you had time at all to watch television--I thought you'd be watching Granddaughter all day:)

I spent today doing a little cleaning up of the mess left after Christmas--I'm not sure how many ornaments, wrapping paper, and plastic toys Sophie has eaten lately.

Hope you have a New Year filled with joyful times!

Have I heard a rumour that Gavin Henson has left Charlotte Church? If so, perhaps he will get back to rugby?

Who's Gavin and Stacey when he's home?

I had one but disconnected it a few years ago and have no idea where I stashed it, ha! I used to use it almost daily with an Australian web-friend and we'd spend hours chatting...great fun! Then her work hours got switched around and with the 15/16 hour time difference between us, we could no longer connect. So...I put the webcam away a few months later. I got out of the habit of chat/IM then, too, and only do it if someone catches me on Facebook...and it about freaks me out, haha! Glad to hear you had such a lovely Christmas, Liz...ours was busy and fun in the afternoon with family. Morning and evening -- quiet and peaceful.

Glad you had a good day :-) It was just me and the hubby for christmas day and then Brother-in-law, my youngest son and his girfriend too.

I have a webcam on my laptop, never ever use it..oh I did once, when talking to my husband when he was overseas somewhere, it is very very off putting..!!

We didn't watch much TV at all, but I did have to sit through Gavin and Stacey..well fell asleep in the end!
