Happy anniversary to us

Thirty-one years today!

'So tell me, what is the secret of a happy marriage?'

Love, laughter, tolerance.

And let's face it, it takes a very special man to have put up with me for 31 years.

But chocolate has helped too.

Happy anniversary! Love, laughter and tolerance sounds about right. And of course a minimum degree of mutual understanding. If the other person's a total mystery it's not going to last very long.

Which reminds me, I think we're clean out of chocolate.

Wow Liz, I forgot that we shared the same wedding anniversary. I keep forgetting that it is mine today, but when it catches me, like just now, I think back to the actual day and I still think it was a wonderful day, full of friends and fun. Strange that it should end this way. Congratulations on your 31 years. I am sometimes ashamed that I have given up on mine.

Congratulations to both of you on your anniversary, Liz! You've listed the main ingredients of a happy marriage--laughter and tolerance have played a big part here.

Congratulations.

I have a similar partner - she's put up with way too much from me in the last 24 years.
