Cake anyone?

I'm not very good at making small cakes. I think I must open the door to check their progress too soon because they're nicely risen when I look but, when I take them out a few minutes later, they've flattened out. Still I expect they'll get eaten at Zac's tonight. A bit of fancy stuff on top makes all the difference!

They look yummy. May I have some :-)going with my tea right now. Weather is bad, tea and cake some in handy. And all these cakes make up what we call in Germany "gold for/to the hips" - hahaha. Look I make your cake invaluable, right on my hips. never will give them away again. Have a splendid day.

They look perfectly delicious to me! And thanks for the recipe for scones with clotted cream. In one of my favorite mystery series, the characters are always having tea and scones with clotted cream; I'm still a little unsure about the cream, though--is it like whipped cream or cream cheese...?

The trouble with baking, I've found, is that there are always so many leftover goodies that I have to eat them up before they spoil. Do you suppose that's why my diet never works either?:)

To answer your title, "Yes, please." I don't care if they're a little flat! lol

Ah, but a cake with a flat top is so much easier to ice, no? They look delicious anyway!
