I'm sure Ann is right, especially if there was a secret sales pitch, but I reall prefer Lindsay's.
There is entirely too many acronyms these days. My favorite is SOB which can have at least two meanings one of which is slanderous and tacky; the other is shortness of breath.
I was going to say joint venture too, but the author who's used it seems to have spent a bit too much time learning buzzwords in B-school and not enough time actually communicating.
I have a JV... it's my old Squier Strat - that has a JV serial number, they are a bit rare... Somehow despite my obsession with guitar related stuff I bet you this has nothing to do with that does it... :-)

Hi Liz I believe it means Joint Venture, to join up with someone/or a few...maybe get a new business going and share all expenses..!
I am glad Anne explained it, I had no idea what it meant either...
Nope! I too am in the dark!
I'm too old to keep up with all these abbreviations. At least I know what LOL means...unless they've gone and changed THAT one on me.
Um, jump viaducts? Jiggle volleyballs? Joust velociraptors? Jaw vol-au-vents? The last one sounds good!
Just Vegetate?
I'd never have guessed that one. Just as well there's always someone who can answer these questions, or I'd go mad (madder!)
Uh ... what does that mean? Is it Joint Venture? Never heard of it. Showing my age, I suppose! LOL!

No good asking me. That's what Mr Google is for, collective knowledge at your fingertips.
Jump vertically?
You got to wonder if it is worth working it out sometimes.
I do see some Ads that must be designed to hook and think, "What are they going on about?" more to the point... "do I care?"

How wise you are, anne!
I'm glad I'm not alone in my ignorance, cherrypie and Marie!
It can mean one of two things though, can't it, kris?
I like joust velociraptors, siani!
Just vegetating sounds good to me, lindsay.
Nor me, dragonstar.
You and me both, jay.
There are too many, nitwit. I can't keep up.
Mr Google or clever blogging friends, jmb.
I see more and more ads like that, moggs. I end up not having a clue what they're on about.
And as she's promoting ebooks you'd expect better, robin.
Oh, furtheron! I should have known you'd bring it back to guitars!
I jv with others but for me it means journal vouucher and relates to transferring spend from one budget to another.
In this sences it could mean joust violently, jive virtuously or even jump virginally..
