Excellent idea. One blogger has pointed out that 52,000 Americans die of flu and its complications every year. So why exactly are so many people wetting their knickers about this particular strain?
Pigs are closer to humans than most people like to admit - but they've already renamed this one, I think.
I agree, the media does love to stir up a storm, but it seems to be a fact that viruses which mutate to infect people - and become transmissible between people - do tend to be extra vigilant.
I remember the AIDS propaganda though, and the panic over Bird Flu and CJD, and remain just a tad cynical.
