Cheesy dreams

Talking about dreaming, according to the British Cheese Board, different cheeses will bring on different sorts of dreams.

For sweet dreams, choose British brie; for a drift into nostalgia, try some Red Leicester. If it's your career you need to sort out, nibble on some Lancashire before bed and if you'd like George Clooney to pay you a night-time visit, your best bet is Cheddar. And I guess if you want to be an inventor, you need a lovely piece of Wensleydale.

But is it just me? Does British brie have the same unauthentic ring as New Zealand cheddar?

Oh yes and apparently, according to Sainsburys magazine who got it straight out of the British Medical Journal, playing a didgeridoo before bed will help sleep apnoea sufferers to doze off.

I suppose playing a didgeridoo will help breathing but I can imagine there must be other ways of achieving the same. I can imagine where the not-wife would stick said instrument if I played that in bed!

George Clooney doesn't come to me...
but then, it is Irish Cheddar. Probably just as well.

You know, actually, I think I prefer Somerset brie to French - to my palate it's much better quality.

Didgeridoo? I'd be with jams' not-wife on that one!

I think I'll eat some cheddar and play my digeridoo before bedtime. Hah!

jams, I have a friend who plays - and makes - didgeridoos; I'll have to ask him how he - and his wife - sleep at nights!

Unfortunately, aileni, mr clooney doesn't visit me either ...

I'm not a brie lover, deb, so i can't comment.

I don't know, dragonstar, it might be quite a soothing sound.

leslie, mmm, chocolate ...
